I am a Psychologist, but first I am a mother.
I know the highs, the lows and the in between of parenthood.
I am here to support you through it all.

You do not need to be in crisis to seek support.
Many of the parents I work with are looking for a space to pause, reflect, and navigate the emotional, practical, and identity changes that can emerge during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood.
I believe support should not be reserved for when things reach breaking point. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, stuck, or simply wanting guidance through a season of change, you deserve support.
As a perinatal psychologist, I support individuals and families from conception through to the first year of parenthood and beyond. While many families first connect during pregnancy or the postpartum period, support does not end when your baby turns one. Together, we can continue exploring the challenges, transitions, and growth that accompany the early years of parenting.
Areas I commonly support include:
Adjustment to parenthood and the transition into motherhood and fatherhood
Matrescence, identity changes, and finding yourself within parenthood
Pregnancy support and emotional preparation for birth
Fourth trimester planning and postpartum adjustment
Birth trauma, difficult birth experiences, and birth debriefing
Fertility challenges, IVF, adoption, and surrogacy journeys
Support for non-birthing parents and partners
Bonding, attachment, and connection with your baby
Building confidence in your role as a parent
Pregnancy anxiety, postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, excessive worry, and feeling constantly on alert
Parental guilt, shame, perfectionism, and self-criticism
Managing anger, rage, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion
Navigating social, cultural, and family expectations
Understanding how your own childhood experiences may influence your parenting
Coping with sleep deprivation, physical recovery from birth, body image changes, and the demands of caring for a baby
Planning for future pregnancies and growing your family
Pregnancy loss, infant loss, grief, and parenting after loss

Full details will be provided within consent forms at the commencement of services.
I understand first hand that life happens, and I can make decisions based on compassionate grounds. However, I do ask for a minimum of 48hours to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so, may result in a fee of $120.
By rescheduling or cancelling, you are allowing the space for someone who may be waiting for an appointment.
No-show will incur a fee of $120.

I take both self-referrals for private paying sessions.
If you would like to access the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) rebate, you will need a referral from your GP. They can send the referral directly to me via Medical Objects
The MHCP gets you access for up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. Your initial referral will get you access to six sessions.
-
If you do not have a MHCP, and do not wish to receive a rebate I offer package prices of support.
These packages are intended for 2 months of support. This means you have 4 x fortnightly sessions at a consistent and predictable time for you. At the time of your initial session we will book in all 4 of your consultation times together.
2 months of support - $899
4 x 60min sessions
-
When you begin sessions, I will be recommending fortnightly sessions at a regular time slot so that this provides consistency in your weekly routine.
As we progress through sessions, we can discuss if you would like to push your sessions out once you feel comfortable in doing so.
The first two sessions booked weekly can be very helpful in getting the process moving and then fortnightly sessions for at least 3 more.
We can discuss this approach together when booking in your initial appointment.

What you will receive within sessions
-
Every session is a safe space where you can share openly without judgement. This is your time to slow down, breathe, and explore your experiences with someone who truly listens and understands.
This is a period of life where it is unpredictable, and we have to surrender to distress that our experience brings. We don't always 'fix' things, or offer solutions, it is often just being held and heard. You are reminded that sitting opposite you is a Psychologist, however I am a Mother first. I see you, I hear you, I get it.
-
Your feelings are welcome in all their forms. Parenthood is full of ups, downs and the in between. We can have the tendency to minimise our hard based on the hards of others.
When you work with me, we begin to debunk that myth of 'they have it worse' and 'I should be thankful'.
Together, we’ll acknowledge your experience and uncover strategies that help you feel more confident, capable, and empowered in your role as a parent.
These strategies aim to be values and self-compassion led. You are on a learning journey, and I am here to support you.
-
Throughout pregnancy there is a lot of support in asking how you are. Once baby is born we can often see that shift in focus to baby. Yes, we have their vulnerability, however to care for the baby we must ensure you are cared for too.
Your health physically and mentally matters! When a Mother is well, a baby can be well.
Through the lens of Matrescence, we place you at the centre of care. Our work is guided by your needs, values, and story. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor support to what feels most meaningful and helpful for you and your family.
-
We are often celebrating the milestones of conception, pregnancy, birth and early development in the baby. However, when do we pause and celebrate our own growth as new or expecting parents?
Parenthood is a journey of constant change, transition and evolution into a new version of ourselves. Together, we will take time to recognise not only the hard times, but also the resilience, insight, and growth you are going through along the way. You deserve to be proud of yourself and I will be there cheering alongside you until you gain the confidence and knowing to give it to yourself.
-
I am passionate about including non birthing partners in sessions, either for 1:1 therapy themselves, or to accompany partners in their sessions. This may look like birth and postpartum planning, psychoeducation, sharing of experience and birth debriefing.
I also bring to mind infant mental health and giving a voice to the baby and their experiences in the world.
We look at the interaction of your experience and how that looks within your family dynamic, giving strategies to help support your family unit to move forward together in a way that is aligned to your values, needs and resources.
-
Sessions may include practical tools, psychoeducation and resources to support your wellbeing beyond the therapeutic space. This should not be viewed as 'homework', but rather knowledge and empowerment to access at times where you have capacity to learn and understand more.
I know from my own experience, the more I talk, read or listen to concepts, the more readily available the information is for me to utilise in moments of overwhelm.
I am to give you real, relatable strategies that are not always adding to your already never ending to do list.
Every family's journey is unique.
My role is not to tell you how to parent, but to provide a compassionate, evidence-based
space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you find your own way forward.
